Rolf Addoumie

Hi, I'm Rolf Addoumie, a Software Engineering student from Canada 🇨🇦. Previously, I've done a couple internships across engineering. Most recently, I was a full-stack engineer at Acephalt, a startup where I helped build an AI-native due-diligence platform for VCs. That experience taught me to wear a lot of hats: designing the frontend, speccing requirements with my PM, and working on backend logic. This fall, I'm joining Xsolla, where I'll be working on the payments infrastructure behind studios like Roblox, Epic Games, and Valve.

I'm also a big believer in connecting the student community at my school. In my first year I started SESA, the Software Engineering Students' Association, and helped grow it into one of the bigger tech groups on campus; we've worked with companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and others. I also ran sponsorships for uOttaHack, one of Canada's largest hackathons. That involvement taught me more about leadership than any course did; I wrote about rebuilding SESA from zero in this post.

Outside of work and school, I'm really passionate about building Linkr, a platform I co-founded that connects student orgs with corporate sponsors. The idea came up as I was leading sponsorship outreach at uOttaHack and SESA. In another project, I pulled the data from every health tracking sensor I own - my Whoop, workout logging app, smart scale, and smart water bottle, and aggregated it into one dashboard that provides AI insights about my day to day health; I called it Biometric OS, and I wrote about it here.
